The goal was to prepare staff at doctor offices and hospitals to improve performance in quality measures. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) publish new specifications every year.
Challenge
The CMS measures are complex and confusing. The project team created a series of job aids that summarize the most important details. The learners need encouragement to use the job aids when they are taking action to improve their performance.
Tools used: Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and Vyond
Design
I created a series of interrelated modules, based on stories, that keep the learner engaged in using the job aids. The stories center around realistic situations. Learners use the tips and tricks found in the job aids to answer the scenario-based questions.
